At 7 p.m. on an April day in Jerusalem, dusk is about to fall. A Jewish-Israeli activist, observing the activities of the radical settlers, goes to the Wall. With this, and the fact that she is accompanied by a film crew, she arouses the suspicion of the police. The well-known writer Zeruya Shalev was born in a kibbutz. Towards the end of the 2-year basic military service that women have to perform in Israel, she came to Jerusalem. She then studied here. The city has become her home. In January 2004, she was seriously injured in a suicide bomber's attack on the number 19 bus. The lawyer Shlomo Lecker represents Bedouins in Israeli courts. Almost always, these cases involve land for his clients.
